A Photograph entitled "Painting With Light" by Samvida Nanda of the Mosquito Massala Art Collective was Exhibited in Times Square, New York, (as part of ARTISTS WANTED presented by chashama.) 

The result: On June 18th, some of the most iconic billboards in Times Square were transformed into an immense display of art, 2012.

A photograph by Samvida, titled "Cityscape in a Room in Mumbai" was also part of a curation shown at the Louvre Museum, in Paris, 2015.

It was also printed in a book. Pages from the book titled "Night Photography Collection", are below.

A boy falls in love with an older woman, and goes to the pharmacy to buy Age.
Dejected when he finds it is out of stock, he chances upon a strange man who tells him about the pool of ageing, that can only be found in his dreams.
But what will the man ask for in return? And will the boy find what he truly seeks?

"Sawali"- by Arya Rothe - 15min

A short fiction film about a girl in her early twenties, who lives a lonely life.

She can't smell, taste or digest any food. She lives with a memory of a story her mother once told her.
The story is about a crow and its shadow.
Slowly her shadow starts eating everything.
It consumes everything in her life.
Till a point where she doesn't know what around her is real, and what is not.

Stories by and the story off, Mala Khamisha, a lac-craftsman from Nirona, in Kutch, Gujarat.
Time is not in hours for him, but in the effort of his craft.

The full moon rose nigh into the sky. The wind carried with it the amalgamation of voices of travellers, adventurers and cultural seekers gathered in the Thar Desert, near Khuri Village.

Amidst the sand dunes, an infusion of electronic music with the folk music of the Manganiyar community, unfolded on the main stage. Evocative of a peacock feather, the origami inspired stage set the backdrop for Projection Mapping and VJing of content created through an initiative called Graphic Designers Without Borders.

DJ Rohan1000 flew down from Paris, and joined Indian veterans of electronic music, DJ Mash (Delhi), Ma Faiza (Pune), and Reverse Osmosis (Jaipur), in guiding the way after the initial Folk Music by Talab Khan and his Band. A special mention to Lucid Raaga, for starting the second evening with original fusion music made in collaboration with the local folk musicians and with the voice of kalbelia dancer, Nirmal Sapera. Fat Krrent (a promising youngster from Ajmer) did a Beat-box and rap set and performed a live jugal-bandhi with Folk artists Gafoor Khan and Band. The skill with the khartal was showcased beautifully by Kutle Khan, and the children from the Pehchaan Folk Music Institute of Barna performed a special set led by Dayam Khan.

Queen Harish, has been described as a Classical Indian tapestry coming to life. She and her students from Japan took the stage by storm. Mirrors shimmered and golden gauze glinted as the dancers spun in charismatic control, weaving a story of strength of the people in surviving the harsh desert, then breaking into a Bollywood piece, and then finally speaking eloquently about the city of Jaisalmer and how it celebrates culture.

Art installations peppered the tops of dunes and marked a path to The Cabinet of Curiosities. This second stage, hosted the Digital art performance by French artists Etienne Bernardot and Mathieu Sanchez from Crossed Lab; as well as the open-air cinema where audiences watched ‘Road Movie’ by Dev Benegal.

The Festival was witness to two days of moonrises and sunrises.

The SANDSCAPE FESTIVAL took place in February of 2017, and was organised by the Sandscape Art collective, comprised of Gajendra Singh Sodha, of Mama’s Resort and Camps, Nitesh Mathur of Universal Selective, and Samvida Nanda and Viktor Furiani of the Mosquito Massala.

Immersive, Multimedia and Interactive Journey for the

Bonjour India: The Experience Project, curated by Institut français India and SpaceMatters!  

This year we celebrate Innovation, Creativity, Partnership across India and France!

A pavilion that travelled over 3500 kilometres; a celebration in 3 cities (Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata); and 1,80,000 visitors who joined this discovery of knowledge and stories.

Along with French Ambassador, Alexandre Ziegler; 

Minister of state for External Affairs, MJ Akbar; Minister of state for External Affairs, Jean-Yves Le Drian;

and Counsellor for Cooperation and Cultural Affairs, Dr Bertrand de Hartingh were present at the launch.

THE TRIPTYCH TALES
The gears turn. The light flickers. And the whirring sound portends one of the greatest innovations of
science and storytelling: Cinema. France has brought many a revolution into the light of day. One of
their greatest strengths is their spirit of collaboration and culture. The friendship of India and France
has been celebrated with partnerships across Design, Art, Technology and so much more. This Film is
such a collaboration.

Special thanks to Chinese Man, Dualist Inquiry, and the Sandscape Art Collective for their
contributions towards the soundtrack of the Film.

MANDALITERATURE
Across time and space, the wish to communicate has been one of the reasons we have told and retold
stories through so many languages. But how does meaning manifest across languages? Is what is left
unsaid, more important than the words which are spoken? With such a multitude of queries into
language itself, this audio-visual installation is an artistic representation of how things can sometimes
get lost in translation. The Soundscape explores dialogues across languages, and is mixed by Lucid
Raaga; and the Projection is a Mandala of Text across languages created by a generative analog
process called Video Feedback.

While some things are translated literally, and show how meanings change or get lost in translation,
certain proverbs from one language had an equivalent proverb in another, showing certain universal
messages across culture and language.

This evening Jaisalmer played witness to several rare projects in the field of Digital Art, thanks to the passionate teams of KB Lodge, Killa Bhawan hotel, Crossed Lab, The Mama's Resort & Camp, Universal Selective and the Mosquito Massala.

>>> The projects were developed during the Sandscape Art Residency # 3 which started in January 2017 in Mumbai, and was further continued in February in Mama's Resort & Camp in Khuri and then in KB Lodge in Jaisalmer.
>>> After a time of development, The Art residency culminated with the SANDSCAPE Fusion Festival #1 in Khuri Sand dunes with a celebration and presentation of the final performances of the artists in Rajasthan for this season.
